The media simply didn't like his answers, because he never said anything they agreed with or which they could easily frame (which they did anyway by quoting him out of context or misquoting him). He also wrote his own social media posts, unlike many other public figures.

Biden's handlers hide him from the press. Not because the press is a threat to Biden. But because Biden is a threat to Biden. Even with a teleprompter, but definitely if they let him loose.
