And if people aren't willing to pay that, you're just going to get people saying, "Why should I climb up on a roof and bust my ass in the hot and cold days while risking injury when I can go work as a walmart greeter and sit on my ass all day". Which means you're going to have less roofers, which means you're going to technically have a higher demand and low supply issue due to a lower supply of workers, which means even higher prices! So now that $3,000 roof repair that would have only cost $1,500, costs $6,000 or more.

All those people who busted their asses to make $15-$30 an hour, aren't suddenly going to be making $30-$60 an hour either. Which means these people are going to be facing immediate double prices or more, but not getting double the pay.
