The 90s were pretty good too (minus Clinton). I'm in my early 30s so was born in the late 80s and my childhood was in the 90s. Didn't have all this social justice stuff and kids played outside, we still had "dangerous" playgrounds, and kids were kids and would go out playing and come home when the lights came on.

Things really started going downhill around 2001 and then rapidly increased around 2008.

The 50s to the 80s were probably peak America though (as in best time to live while still having American values).
