The crazy thing most people either don't understand or refuse to acknowledge is the massive amount of diversity within what's being referred to as the "Asian Community".

I've traveled to Beijing on business, dated a South Korean woman for a couple years, was good friends with a restaurant owner who's father was a pilot in the Taiwanese Air Force, worked with a guy with from Japan, my best friend from High School married a Filipino, and I had a neighbor who came to this country as Vietnamese refugee.

Even if you are Maori from New Zealand or a native Hawaiian, you're tossed into the Asian bucket of oppression.

It's politics at it's worst, Pede.

Most Asian Americans were just going about their daily lives and didn't give it much thought until the left determined you were oppressed.

If people treat you differently these days, don't take it personally. The only reason people might give you a second glance is because progressives have forced us to recognize and focus on the fact that we look different.
