This is why I want the death penalty for journalists. They lie on purpose. Their propaganda is on purpose. There's zero defence for it.

You can take just a small random sample of their works and you see that they're fully capable of following ethical standards when they want to.

This makes it much worse because it deceives people even further.

We need to move back to a society with consequences. Did you know that the worse thing a scientist can do is to be politically incorrect? They will be punished severely for it. If they get the science wrong not so much.

So you then have scientists not doing science but instead making political statements and giving false information. The solution to that from a policy position is simple. Make sure that they are punished more severely for being scientifically incorrect than being politically incorrect.

The same goes for journalism. Unless there are worse consequences for doing the wrong thing they wont do the right thing.

Let me explain to you how this works...

"Here's an article about Trump. I can be journalistically correct or politically correct but not both. I'm most likely to suffer bad consequences like being fired or worse if I'm politically incorrect so I'll be journalistically incorrect instead."

"Here's an article about a crime with no political angle. I can only be journalistically correct or journalistically incorrect. The latter I'm most likely to suffer bad consequences like being fired or chastised by the audience and losing faith so I choose the former."

So what you have to do is make sure the consequences are always worse no matter what for being journalistically incorrect and that those consequences boomerang back around to smack them in the face as though launching a heat seeker when you're the only heat signature for a hundred miles.

Propagandists wilfully lying and spreading their corruption onto the masses deserve the electric chair. Cowards are very easily controlled and put right.
