The media LIE after 9/11 that "the President gave his OK too shoot down any other airliner after the Pentagon was hit" was created to cover up the fact that Cheney had ordered EVERY(!) jet protecting the air space over NY and DC up over northern Canada to be busy in another exercise playing out a "Russian attack". This so they wouldn't be able to get back in time to shoot down any of the many jets involved in the shell game Cheney oversaw on 9/11.

The Air Force does NOT need to call ANYONE if they deem it necessary to shoot down an aircraft that otherwise will crash into a city like NY.
