I say this because I too have weak days. Conversations with people who believe I have white privilege exhaust me and make me feel as though maybe I really am in the wrong. But we have seen the effects of their bullshit come through. Why is it that left states have become the most lawless AND most authoritarian at the same time?

I don't know if anyone reading this is a Christian or not, but I do try to follow Christ. I'm an arrogant, egotistical, angry, guy who jumps to conclusions, so I am not good at following God and understanding his words. But I do believe that if we try to stand with Him, then he will never forsake us. I don't know that this country stands with God anymore and that scares me greatly. But as powerful as the US is, God could squash it in a second. Perhaps "America" as we know it truly is gone. But this country wasn't founded on paper, it was founded on the Spirit of freedom. The truth that God made each of us beautifully and that this earth and everything in it is for us...if we care for it and each other.

And that, that can never be taken from any of us. Perhaps we loose this war and a new country is founded by people of the same Spirit following God. Well, then that's "America" then. God comes before family and family before country and country comes before self. I frequently forget that order. But the time we're living in is a good reminder
