I lived just north of Waco when that happened and I was totally fixated on what happened during that siege. David Koresh was running a cult and was sexually abusing teenage girls. They had a huge stockpile of weapons similar to the amount on some of the Muslim land reserves in Texas & other states.

It seemed to me like maybe the government thought the weapons angle was a good way to go in there and break up the whole thing. They also wanted to do child welfare checks. They obviously didn't count on these people all being suicidal & completely brainwashed. I really blame Janet Reno for not letting it play itself out no matter how long it took.
