But then again, 23andMe, and Ancestry.com are the FaceBook of DNA cataloging...people volunteering their DNA to them and paying for it, and they routinely allow the police into their databases WITHOUT A WARRANT to run suspect DNA. Read the fine print. They own your DNA signature.

I'll never use any of them, as I've no dire need to know that I'm .027% Scottish, etc.
