I'm not saying it is anything besides race. What I am saying is there are multiple components, and we don't know to what extent genetics factor in. Given what we know about genetics and behavior - (especially twins studies), there is likely a genetic component. How MUCH that component plays is unknown. Think of it this way - when a scientific discipline is fairly advanced and the field of knowledge is sound - then solutions can be engineered with the science. The knowledge of electromagnetism being engineered into a cell phone is an example of a well understood area. The barely working quantum computers are an example of a field of study that is not as well understood.

Further, if there is a genetic component for propensity to violence, it can be tested for. I'm not saying we lock people up based off of a DNA test, but it could mean there some ways we can work to reduce the potential for violence. We have to start with the first step and determine causes.
