Are you sure you have actually read the Bible? Jesus, the Word, who in the beginning was with, and who IS God, who was made flesh, (as we are directly told in the gospel of John 1) was doing something very specific as his mission - that is, not going around looking to be worshiped and to rule, but rather, as Jesus said (Matt 20);
27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: 28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
In addition to many other scriptures that clearly inform us that Jesus is God, including those that state that (Colossians 1) it is Jesus specifically who created all things in heaven and earth, the very same heaven and earth that GOD in the beginning created.
But furthermore Hebrews 1 has God himself, quoting from the OT book of Psalms and applying it to the Son, directly calling Jesus "God". God himself telling us is not good enough??
Hebrews1: 5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. 7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
