As a guy who has trained in BJJ for 10 years, I think there is plenty of room for cops to improve. My gym has a ton of cops. I bullshit with a few who I'm friendly with. They've talked about how grappling training had made them more capable to subdue a person without having to go to a gun or taser. Not everything because of their utility belt, but a lot of it transfers over.

I don’t know why I have to keep explain this, but none of this matters because if the non compliant suspect is black, which they are the overwhelming majority of the time, and the officer is white, your not allowed to touch them, let alone get physical/rough enough with them to make them comply. There is no debate on this anymore.

Edit: I forgot to post that this is coming from someone who is borderline full ACAB after the last year.
