Never did drugs, never smoked anything a day in my life, and am not a drinker. I was a divorced mother of two sons that I raised by myself because their father was an asshole who never wanted anything to do with them. They are in their 50's now, and he has no idea his youngest son went through cancer surgery, and six months of chemo in 2019. I worked full-time days, and went to college full-time nights. Kept a 4.0 average. Graduated with Honors. Spent many years researching the Civil War, and the black troops who fought in it. Did my Masters thesis on them. Even tracked down their descendants, and with my research to help them, one family was able to get the Congressional Medal of Honor for their ancestor. I worked in uniform for New York State's prison system for 25 years. First as an officer, then as a Sergeant. Retired in 2003.
