I would have to disagree. History shows us that women were involved in the fall of many of the great civilizations. I personally believe sex nor race should dictate your rights, but it's hard to argue with historical facts.

Here are some examples: 1-Helen of Troy: Spartan queen seduced by Prince Paris of Troy. She fled the palace with him and was persecuted by the king of Sparta and his army. Caused the Trojan War and the ultimate destruction of Troy. In the end she was brought back to Sparta.

2-Moxi: Consort of King Jie of the Xia dynasty. He neglected state affairs to be with her, which caused a widespread rebellion and the downfall of Xia.

3-Su Daji: Consort of King Zhou of Shang. She was sickly sadistic and extremely cruel. Her favorite passtime was conducting torture sessions. Killed many loyal officers of the king, caused an uprise, and at the end the Shang army was so upset that it refused to fight the rebels, causing the dynasty to fall.

4-Baosi: Consort of King You of Zhou. She was extremely beautiful, but of a depressing melancholy. In order to cheer her up, the king decided to tease his allies by lighting the beacon tower and summoning them in vain. Baosi laughed, true enemies attacked, and no ally came to help, believing the sign was another joke.

5-Xi Shi: Used by King Goujian of Yue as a political weapon against his rival King Fuchai of Wu. Xi Shi was given to Fuchai as state gift, but she had received secret orders to sabotate the kingdom from the inside. Her contributions allowed Goujian to successfully take over Wu. Fuchai committed suicide.

6-Chen Yuanyuan: A rebel army seized Beijing and captured the general’s girlfriend Chen Yuanyuan. Meanwhile a Manchu army invaded China but could not pass by the Great Wall due to this general’s presence. However he agreed to open the gates for them if they helped him beat the rebels and recover the girl. The Manchu accepted, defeated everyone and usurped the throne of China.

Of these, the first two could be myth or not, but the others are very real.

I would have to disagree. History shows us that the fall of all of the great civilizations was only shortly predated by the granting of various rights to women. I personally believe sex nor race should dictate your rights, but it's hard to argue with historical facts.
