Best thing I ever did was to cancel my Shaw cable (over 400 channels of pablum) and download and use www.strem.io and popcorn time butter fork. It’s like Netflix, but not crap. Oh and free.

Cable tv died for the last time when all the channels became nothing like their descriptors. The Discovery channel, history channel, space channel, MTV, national geographic.... all had some interesting documentaries at what seems a lifetime ago now. Think it’s been a good 25 years since the last time they were semi intelligent.

Now even the food network is unbearable to watch. Lots of fast cutting, over done ‘drama’ , ginned up tension and attention given to the participants, instead of , oh I dunno.... TALKING ABOUT THE FOOD AND SOME INTERESTING HISTORY OF SAY AN OLD ITALIAN DISH AND A CAMERA SHOT LASTING LONGER THAN 5 GODDAM SECONDS.
