Fuck, fam. I live downtown in a midsize city in Michigan. My downtown was destroyed last night. I’m so disheartened and sad and mad. I was up all night with my pistol and shotgun just waiting for some fuckers to try and break into my building. Kids were everywhere breaking shit, smashing windows, and setting shit on fire. It brought out all the chaos. It was so weird how many weirdos showed up in super loud shitty cars and motorcycles. It was like a scene from a fucking dystopian movie. The noise and chaos were disorienting. And the cops were so overwhelmed that they couldn’t come down my street to stop a shop being looted.

FUCK. It was the most disturbing experience of my life.

Update: Thousands if people showed up this morning to clean and scrub graffiti off buildings. It has been so heartening. Restaurants are giving out free food and people are everywhere cleaning up. There are terrible people, but a lot more really good people.
