This is false equivalency. I think you've also not studied the phenomena of what's happening to the left. It has been drifting away from centre now for decades into the extremes and this hasn't happened on the right.
The defining feature of the left is now extremism. That's their forte.
The defining feature on the right is moderation. Even our extremists are moderate. Even the Neo-Nazis are a bunch of nerds and geeks, softies, moderate Nazis.
I think Jews would be confused because they're more likely to be treated like guests by Neo-Nazis in many cases where as on the left they will be treated horrendously in many cases. Same for black people with the KKK. The KKK will often treat black people BETTER than typical people on the left would.
Ideologically extreme? Sure, they can be in many respects that are easy to simply ignore. In practice are they extreme? No.
Real extremism, things like uninvited violence, that's the hallmark of the left, not the right.
