My dad was vehemently anti- Trump since 2016, and i the opposite since '15. Only literally after this weekend did the old man put the pieces together. Just had a talk with him minutes ago, and the look in his eyes was one of remorse, for so many nights wasted yelling cnn/msdnc talking points at me, when the game was rigged all along. He is too proud to admit it outright, but he also knows I'm not stupid enough to miss it: he took the red pill aged 59, and it's damn tough to swallow that late in life.

What got him was videos i shared to him of riots in Montreal, and by pure fluke my sister happens to live on the street of some of the worst of it (luckily she's elsewhere). That slapped him wide fucking awake. It was bittersweet for me, but better late than never.
