The Smith stuff is great for a recreational shooter. But when you can get a much better AP rifle for 150 more, buy the aero for sure. BCM is good to go, really good to go. I think over priced. But that's just my opinion on the numbers. There is a long long list of companies that do things right. I can list some here. It won't be comprehensive by any means.

5. Hodge
6. Sig
7. H&K
8. Wilson Combat
9. Rainier Arms
10. FNH
11. Colt if you can find one (they quit making m4 platform weapons)

13. Tenuously I'll add Armalite
14. BCM
15. IWI is making a nice option as well. For a great price.

Please nobody be upset if I left your preferred maker off the list. There are too many to name off the top of my head. I have owned or put many rounds through all of those I listed.
