The Smith stuff is great for a recreational shooter. But when you can get a much better AP rifle for 150 more, buy the aero for sure. BCM is good to go, really good to go. I think over priced. But that's just my opinion on the numbers. There is a long long list of companies that do things right. I can list some here. It won't be comprehensive by any means.
In no particular order:
- Knights armamemt
- LaRue
- Aero precision/ballistic advantage
- LMT
- Hodge
- Sig
- H&K
- Wilson Combat
- Rainier Arms
- FNH
- Colt if you can find one (they quit making m4 platform weapons)
- Rock River
- Tenuously I'll add Armalite
- BCM
- IWI is making a nice option as well. For a great price.
Please nobody be upset if I left your preferred maker off the list. There are too many to name off the top of my head. I have owned or put many rounds through all of those I listed.
