I posted on this a while ago as too many people obviously have no idea the shit storm that comes with even a totally justifiable use .I did Firearm Training ,Instruction & coaching when l got out of the Military, one of the national training programs l worked on was FASTER- Faculty/Administrator Safety Training and Emergency Response - where l personally trained teachers, nurses & doctors etc from all over America .

As part of preparation for that we were given a 3 day run down by lawyers who specialized in firearm cases on Self Defense ,CCW etc laws & scenarios from across the US & it was pretty shocking how even in totally justifiable cases vested interest groups will do everything in their power to drag it out in court & bankrupt the individual at a minimum.I went with what other instructors had used & recommended after knowing people who had needed to use it , but like any insurance you have to choose what suits your needs.

Also remember if you are using the CCW etc as part of your business protection etc your accountant will advise on tax breaks etc,l look it like the insurance cover l have for my guiding work, most people who hunt never think of it as well.

I do not do Firearm Training anymore so have no vested interest, but IMO anyone who carries or seriously considers using firearms for self/home defense is stupid if they do not complete a certified advanced firearms training from a reputable trainer. If you have to use a firearm not only will the training save your ass at the time, but that piece of paper certifying you have been trained in proper self defense use & the laws, most likely to a higher degree than the local cops are, may just save your ass in court.

As l said like any insurance you have to do thorough research on what suits your needs & make sure you read the fine print .Here is a comparison article l kept that was doing the rounds from when the NRA pulled out -
