He wasn’t running away. If you are running away then you aren’t aiming and firing a taser at a cop. Why didn’t he just drop the taser and book it?

Aim? I disagree if you look closer at the video Brooks fired right after he turned his arm and shot the taser way to the right of Rolfe, he wasn't even close. He was sloppily trying to get away from them seems to me, and not attempting to murder 2 police officers.. Is that what you are saying? They did seem to go easy on him at first, much easier than I've seen on similar episodes of Cops from the past, especially the first officer before Rofle came for "backup".

The being aware of the country's situation goes for both of them, Brooks was on probation right? What kind of maniac who has been through the system falls back asleep again after a cop wakes you up behind the wheel? Doesn't make any sense, he was odd and goofy the whole time, didn't really seem that wasted. It almost seems like he planned this whole thing, so that his baby momma and daughters would have some kind of a future from all the attention they will get - especially right now in "these times"

My buddy his dad got hit hard by the 2007 housing recession, he purposely overdosed on xanax and other meds, but made it look like an accident so his wife would get the insurance money and be taken care of for the rest of her life. Just saying stranger things have happened
