I remember growing up, the excitement I would feel on Juneteenth Eve! knowing that the next morning we would all come running down the stairs to sit around the Juneteenth Tree and open our reparations baskets!

Then Grandma and Grandpa would come over and we'd all have the traditional Juneteenth Goose with cranberry sauce and mac and cheese! What wonderful memories!

I'm so glad Apple doesn't bother with putting that stupid East-star holiday on my calendar any more. Who ever heard of that noise!
