So true, it's cool to share, learn and live amongst diverse cultures because America is literally a melting pot but people should remember that being a citizen here means we all identify as Americans. Unfortunately, people stake too much of their worth and identity on the color of their skin or their race (I saw this all the time growing up as 2nd generation American within my group of friends) even though as individuals we are so much more than that. This is why racial/identity politics, cultural dynamics, e.t.c can become hypersensitive to the point of being toxic and divisive as we are seeing with all the crazy stuff happening with BLM and Antifa.
