For these IT positions, what type of H1B are they hiring, is it EB1 or EB2 category?

I ask because there seems to be at least two tales of the H1B worker:

  • those that companies hire from shitty firms like Tata who flood market with cheap labor and severely limit opportunity for Americans.

  • and those who typically got their masters or PhD from a US school in an engineering/science field that truly needs top talent to keep the USA companies at the head of the pack (e.g. many silicon engineering teams are based in the USA). These sorts often face H1B shortages because companies like Tata request such large volumes of H1Bs for the first category, many times don’t use them (, so it effs up the system for the second group.

We need the top talent, the first round draft picks. We don’t need abusive visa tactics that limit opportunities for Americans. China is gunning for us.
