My experience/thoughts, just to maybe help ya out.
I've never met one person, EVER, who went from common sense to stupid in this way. Never.
Anyone who I ever saw that did something like that, was always leftist/liberal at heart and just faking the funk.
They were never truly right leaning/common sense, they just pretended to be to fit in or gain acceptance among a group/whomever because they had nothing, nobody, didn't know this or that, etc. So they lied, pretended.
Not saying this is the case with your gal, but I've never met anyone from the right side who went left side, because "the left is better and right and I actually believe in what they are saying."
Those people were always left and pretending to be right for some kind of gain or acceptance or whatever reason. Much like RINOs, politicians, celebrities, musicians; take your pick.
There is a reason behind her going 180 on you. What is it though? Was she always this way? Is there something going on you don't know about? Has she been hiding all this time who she was? Etc.
Never seen anyone with right vs left politics ever make it work. Perhaps you can? But I have my doubts...
