Because being a weak individual who is constantly a victim is considered brave and powerful these days. That's why people pretend to be that, because they get social media attention and coddling. There used to be a time when it was pathetic and embarrassing.

Shaming victims of actual atrocities is awful. But shaming fucking losers for being melodramatic and crying for no real reason needs to make a comeback. There is nothing good about being a victim, especially when your end goal is remaining one for your whole life. People should strive to be winners, that overcome problems despite hardships, not wallow in self-pity. Especially when considering that a lot of them haven't seen a hard day in their lives.

There is nothing good in being a victim, but we should still respect actual victims. Thing is these people aren't. A lot of them haven't seen a hard day in their lives.

Because being a weak individual who is constantly a victim is considered brave and powerful these days. That's why people pretend to be that, because they get social media attention and coddling. There used to be a time when it was pathetic and embarrassing. Example: Approximately since the year 2000 in Germany "victim" was slang for loser, dumbass, someone who is lame.
