Thanks lady pede for the kind words.

After year two he started to act lethargic and his chest x-ray said an enlarged heart. The Vet had him on furosimide twice a day and he could barely sleep, he was urinating uncontrollably in the middle of the night, barely making it to his litter box sometimes, bolting off our laps after getting his 7 p.m. dose following his morning one twelve hourse earlier.

The idea is to get him to dump the extra fluid around his enlarged heart via his kidneys. We asked it we could instead give him a 1.5 times dose once a day and the Vet said sure, give it a try if you think it will improve his quality of life.

Come to find out that Target offered his meds on generic at less than 1/4 the cost of the vet and the pill was exactly the correct new dosage we were trying and no splitting which was making him spit the pill out due to bitterness.

For ten years we dosed him each morning before work and he would come to get us on weekends if we were late with his med. "Do you want me to die? It's pill time! Meeeoooow!"

Grab his scruff at the back of the neck, he opens his mouth, pill tossed in and close his mouth and he swallowed. Smart boy, he knew the medicine worked.

In summers, the lion cut was an idea to let him enjoy the deck with his beloved human mother, that tannned and listened to music. He missed her while she was outside but it was too hot for him to stand.

Lion cut and he was overjoyed! The first time he licked his ribs after the cut was done he shook and left his tongue out and stared back at us, "I have skin like you!!!"

He would lay on his back next to her and get as tan as any surfer. Lean, muscled and protecting his Mom as she snoozed in the sun with him.

Left his tail, shoulders and head fully furred, legs too. Chest was shaved up to his throat, after a while we did it ourselves and still have zip lock bags of his fur, and can smell him from the beyond every so often, though it is fading with time.

Thousands of pics of him, but we can't bear to look at them yet... he was her protector and my Battle Buddy during OIF in D.C.

He was critically injured and the LTC. OIC at Ft. Myer, Virginia said, "It's just a cat, you don't show up on time this morning and you lose your contract."

Me : "He fell through a three story window and has lacerations from shoulder to arm pit. I can see the artery pumping."

Her : "Get here or be gone."

She is an Army Dentist. RIP Soldiers that were ever in her Operatory.

You could hear them screaming day in and day out, "I'm not numb! I can feel everything!!!" The younger Dentist Captains said she was the worst practitioner that had ever seen. A female George Burns from the T.V. show M.A.S.H.

Her : "You complain again and I call the M.P.'s"

The patients were Marine Corps Band and The Old Guard. Under Obama.
