KKK was formed 3 years later -1869 [after Juneteenth'] to go After Black Republicans for thinking they will ever be equal to whites- AND white Republicans for being 'race traders' and electing blacks into a public office of government and honoring them as leaders- after they were made legal citizens that fall under the original Constitution.

Ehhhh this is a gross oversimplification. I'm not a fan of the KKK but that's not really how it was formed nor the reason it was formed.

Originally it was a prankster group who mostly did harmless pranks to get freedmen blacks to move on and stop doing crimes in their communities. Only later did it escalate into violence.
