'We' don't dis teachers, we dis bad teachers, union schmucks who use common core instead of common sense, who use Zero Tolerance instead of logic.
We dis teachers who hide behind political correctness, who secretly take kids for abortions or who use schools to preach about queer shiite.
Honest teachers are worth their weight in gold tho, and if you are one why God Bless you.
We do offer some disdain for public schools, but we understand a 'good' teacher may be trapped inside a corrupt system, and even as 'good' teachers try to stand and fight for honest education they are drowned out by the NEA and federal guidelines and political movement lawyers and agendas...
No one thinks teachers in public schools are over paid, not at the 1-12 level. Colleges yeah sure, but that's a different thing. We think schools and administrations rake in far too much money and waste it tho, yeah.
Local school where two of our kids graduated spent almost 300 million on a new sports complex/artsy-fartsy auditorium recently, taxes went up...but the school itself offers lousy academics, has yuge conduct and/or violence problems, drug problems, is out of control. Or was. We busted them for continuing to use Common Core after Texas outlawed it too, and teachers hid behind the unions and it was impossible to discipline them. My kid would say he was having trouble understanding what a teacher wanted him to do, so we arranged a meeting. teacher didn't use a textbook, she found materials online. So the kids couldn't use a reference book, none existed. So parents couldn't help the kids at home, she and other teachers wanted hidden curriculas and no accountability. She refused to discuss it with us, so we arranged a meet with the principal and her. She showed up with her union rep, I insisted he not be allowed to attend, and she refused to meet without him. The principal said he couldn't do anything....
Yeah anyhow, we support 'Good' teachers, have zero tolerance for bad teachers. And yeah we know you're stuck in a lousy deal, if you are 'good' in a bad system.
We need to start over with public schools, no unions, no politically correct shiite, no quotas, no busing, enforce dress codes and codes of conduct, get back to a hard curricula of readin', 'ritin' and 'rithmetic.
Good teachers should be paid more, yes, just as good nurses should be paid more, lawyers should be paid less, politicians paid less, doctors paid less, entertainers paid way less...yeah.
You who are 'good' teachers have to help us help you; refuse unions, stand up for common sense, kick all agendas out of the schools, and let God back in.
