bro you gotta be careful when claiming mental health/mental illnesses in a court of law, especially if you say it gets in the way of you being able to comply with bullshit laws like that. saying that you have a mental/behavioral condition in court/in a legal case puts you on a black list and you put yourself in a situation where the government can raid your house and seize your weapons and they would be “well within their rights” what they will say is that you can’t be having weapons cause your “mental condition” makes you a threat to yourself and others and that you can’t be trusted to use a firearm lawfully. when you go to a psychiatrist/medical behavioral center they put you on a list and they will find out if you have guns and if you do then you won’t see them again 😂😂 it doesn’t only happen in states with red flag laws- it happens where cops “care” enough to say that if you have ptsd that you shouldn’t have a weapon cause you’d potentially put yourself and others in danger should you happen to have an episode. idk if that makes sense to you....
shit that happens too is say that you see a physician for something serious it doesn’t even have to be a mental event- it could be something like seizures or stuff like that. and they put you on medicine. and say you’re using that medicine for maybe over a couple months like 6 or 7 or maybe even a year that you find yourself feeling like hurting yourself- the doctor will ask you “any sad thoughts or depression? no suicidal thoughts” (my doctor says that shit) and you have the balls to say “yeah a little” then the physician by law has to report that shit and well authorities will go through all your shit and see what you’ve been up to
oh and some minimum wage people don’t give a fuck and have nothing to lose anyways
tell me if i’m wrong: that if you claim to live with a mental/behavioral condition that cops won’t look into whether or not you owning a firearm makes you a threat to others or yourself. if you don’t think that doesn’t make sense then it’s okay but be careful with that shit
