I don't think anyone was really excited about Romney. He was kinda pushed on us, and even he himself expected people to hold his nose and vote for him for the pure purpose of not being Obama. Now I would have taken a wooden spoon over Obama at the time, as the SJW thing was just starting to gin up, but people stayed home.

Back then he was boring at best. A "Washington General" if I ever saw one.

I think the problem with Romney is he's a true believer in the "decorum" crap. We don't need decorum right now. We didn't need it then. We needed someone defending us. And...in a weird way, I think things had to get worse for folks to be ready to elect Trump. But please don't pick on people who were trying to vote for him for the express purpose of getting rid of Obama.
