Amidst all the monopoly, the schmoozing, the smug song and dances, and the pandering to the lowest common denominator, truth takes a back seat. All that is left is the posturing and spectacle. Pick your side, root for your team, the substance of the conversation doesn't matter, the policy doesn't matter, there is no longer a moon to reach, no disease to cure. Somewhere along the line, when everyone had enough to eat and safety was well enough, the need to fight what was truly right disappeared, all that mattered was your tribe elevating itself, and moving up within that tribe. Doing well and providing was offensive. Somehow that got twisted into keeping others down. Now you have to feel guilty for having a work ethic, for having talent, for trying to rise above. Because all of those things were given to you on a silver platter, everyone else had hand cuffs, weren't in the same club, were doomed from the start and if you don't accept this as fact you are a sub human nazi piece of shit who deserves to be outcast and on the street. THAT is justice, THAT will make history right. YOU must suffer so that others alive today get a leg up to make up for the suffering of the past. You do NOT have a vote in this. This has been decided by those who stand to benefit, and those who have enough privilege not to need a level playing field.

And now we are left living in clown world. Nothing is terribly bad, but the avenues for reaching greatness and truth have been muddied by the soft parade of celebrity and back scratching. Brown nosing, having the right connections and towing the line are the most important aspects of upward mobility. Not hard work, not talent, not grit and determination, not results. Meritocracy has been evaporated as the children of the 1% have deemed upward mobility forfeit.

Your value is no longer measured by the content of your character, by the fruits of your labor. Now you are measured by skin color, sexual orientation, and tribe. Do you feel remorse for your inherent sin? You're cut off. You don't get to compete.
