Same-sex attraction and gender dysphoria are mental disorders in both the clinical sense as well as in the moral one. They’re illnesses. I feel bad for anyone who suffers from any kind of mental disorder. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect by virtue of their humanity; and stories of families disowning or abusing a child who has a mental disorder are heartbreaking.

Having said that, I have no problem with alphabet people who keep their predilections to themselves. Humorist David Sedaris, for example, has always been very low key about his sexuality.

The problem today is that sexual deviancy is actually celebrated in popular culture to a degree that beggars any rational explanation. It’s in your face and everywhere; and woe betide anyone who dares criticizing this new orthodoxy. Seriously, think about how many ‘trans’ shows are on now. It’s madness.
