At this point, I honestly believe that Thomas and Alito are the only two justices who we can consistently trust to contribute constitutionally sound opinions. Our side supposedly holds the majority on the Court, but it sure doesn't seem like it sometimes. Roberts in particular often snatches defeat from the jaws of victory, but to be fair, Gorsuch and Kavanaugh have been pretty hit and miss themselves (although they both ruled correctly this time).
The decision itself is an absolute joke and does not pass constitutional muster at all. On the surface, this should have been a slam-dunk case that favored freedom of religion, as is explicitly outlined in the First Amendment. Unfortunately, when judicial activism takes precedence over actual adherence to the law, we get pathetic rulings like this one.
