Where are these bands? Adam Yauch (MCA) of the Beastie Boys was the main driver of that concert. He died and with him the impetus to have benefit concerts for Tibet (his wife is Tibetian). He was a good man and a creative genius. I was at that concert at RFK stadium in Washington, DC. It was notable because on the first day during Herbie Handcock's amazing set, a bolt of lightning struck a woman talking on her cell phone about 30 feet from where I was. The bolt exited her body and shocked the entire section of metal seats and their occupants. The concert was cancelled for the rest of the day.
Years later I met one of the guys who got electrocuted. We're still friends to this day.
