The law is pretty cut-n-dry in most states... if you have a chance to escape, and you don't take it, you better be able to prove why.
Shooting someone has to be the last resort, you pretty much need to establish that it was your only option and you were in fear for your life.
I'm sure the fear part is easy to convey here... the size difference alone combined with the assault seals that deal.
But you can't stop the car then shoot... they are going to say she should have kept driving... that she didn't have to use lethal force to save her life.
