I'm not coming down on one side or the other here, but seems to me that either: 1 - Women are expected to act rationally and should be held responsible for their actions. 2 - Women shouldn't be allowed to vote. Right? There is no world in which it's reasonable to allow someone to be dominated by emotions and also allow them to influence government. Unless you want bad governance, I guess.
In my own experience, I think woman can act rationally and make good choices. But it needs to be taught. We don't tolerate young men physically fighting each other because we know that's bad behavior. So why do we tolerate young women becoming emotional wrecks? It's also bad behavior. And if we punished it like it should be punished then maybe we would have more reasonable women.
