Strangly enough, LANSING, the capital in the heart of commie Michigan, had a huge home-school support network, particularly among classical musicians. Our group had 7 bands/orchestras who were eventually allowed to compete in the UIL.

I calculated that I saved the local schools over $500,000 by home-schooling 5 kids. They thought it was a $500,000 loss because they couldn't use my kids for state funding.
