This is the kind of shit where local authorities will often step in and give someone else power over your mother. Dad has NO LEGAL power to take or shut off mom's cell phone. This is abuse, and I say this as someone that doesn't like to get government involved.

I'm not sure how I would react to this situation. In my own family, I know I would tell dad what's up, and if he responded negatively, we would most likely throw down on the spot. She may be his wife, but she is also the person that gave you life. Watch out for her.
