The same funding that has sustained them until now, and got them out of jail, will not dry up. It has pretty deep pockets. Other work will be found for them, paid by the same sources forever into their old age. They will be taken care of.

Or who knows? Maybe when they are not perceived as useful anymore, they will be fired like any other employee?

What will happen to them?

They will inherit from their parents eventually, and find work in the schools somewhere, or giving lectures.

Some of them will just plain latch onto some wealthy lover.

One reason they did all this in the first place, was that they were never going to get jobs and apartments anyway, for personal reasons, or because there just aren't enough white collar jobs for all the young people who have been told they can and must only do white collar work.

They must never work with their hands. They must never start a little business. Oh no. Not classy enough.
