Just like the Communist soyboys call for a revolution because deep down they know they'll never be a leader WITHOUT a violent revolution, he hates Trump because Trump is everything George aspires to be: rich, popular, good physique, incredibly smart, able to leave behind a legacy far bigger than himself.

When Trump blocked George from riding Kellyanne's coattails into a White House advisor position, all of George's insecurities manifested in the forefront of his mind, and rather than confront his own failfures in order to better himself, he just projected all of his own mistakes onto Trump, thus permanently preventing George from ever seeing Trump as more than the Insecurity Strawman that Gerge created within his own imagination.

Meanwhile, if George had simply accepted that he had issues and that his wife was doing great, he could have come to terms with it, reached a better relationship level with the President (as a "friendly spouse of a talented employee" rather than as a "fat SOB constantly insulting me and tarnishing his wife's reputation/standing in my administration"), and focused more on the things he could actually improve on (his personal physique, his ability to get a better job, and his relationship with his wife and their 4 children).
