Great idea since these textbook prices are meaningless and just enrich the authors, publishers, and vendors. Often the author is just the professor who releases a new edition each year so that the old books won't do for this semester's class. At least in pharmaceuticals one could argue that a high price might in certain instances be warranted to help the company pay back the millions that went into researching the drug and getting it through trials.
