The ban is on places described in Fl. Stat. 823.05, which is broad enough to cover “places,” perhaps capturing a street corner. However, if I were otherwise legally carrying and walked by that corner, I would have zero problem getting off that charge. Moreover, the definition cannot be interpreted to cover an entire neighborhood; that is simply not how rights work.

Furthermore, the car dealership and streets of Kenosha don’t meet the Florida definition anyways.

Spez 2: On further reflection, the kid might be properly fucked. I believe Wisconsin prohibits the transfer of firearms to people under 18. If they also outlaw possession of firearms by people under 18 and categorize such possession as a felony, the felony murder doctrine fucks him completely.
