One thing I’ve noticed since I basically quit watching sports since Trump came along is how big of an emotional scam the entire thing is.
Fans are never happy. They spend their entire lives HOPING that ONE DAY their team will win a golden trophy. They imagine that this will make their entire life of failure and sorrow magically disappear.
Worst of all, sometimes their teams do actually win. That’s when it just gets sad. You can just see the words “this is it?” written on the fans’ faces. They may have had a few moments of joy or excitement right when the team won, if it was a close game, but that’s it.
I don’t think it’s any coincidence that sport fans lean heavily Democrat. They are always chasing pipe dreams and visions of utopia. The ILLUSION of happiness is enough for them, and they don’t even care that they KNOW it’s an illusion, just so long as they don’t have to get off the couch or do anything uncomfortable. They support obvious-pipe dreams like socialism for the same reason - it’s just easy to do so.
