The pride stuff is pretty degenerate a lot of the time, and in many ways I feel like the left in general has taken a page from the LGBTQ playbook of using victimhood to get anything they want and crossing lines and bullying others with it like is going on in entertainment now. But if gay people were shown as level headed productive normal member of society more often I don't think it would be such an issue. V for vendetta comes to mind as a movie with a great homosexual character in it.
But this is the thing with leftists. They don't really see sexuality as a sexual preference so much as a personality trait, of being a victim, of having a chip on your shoulder and thinking the world is out to get you and needing society to put you on a pedestal and worshipping you for being "brave" as you scream into the sky how victimized you are. They use victimhood as a weapon to cut others down, because in order to be a victim others must be the oppressors. So they have created this system where they reward people for wallowing in repression, for being over the top and in your face with their sexuality.
I don't know what to think, I don't know what % of straight people suppress their gay tendencies because to them it's not worth it, so only the most radical come out as gay, or if gay people really are just on average more sexual to the point of being offensive in public, and in distasteful ways like around children.
I always just try to judge people on a case by case basis. Most people if they are good, gay or straight don't put their sexuality in your face at all and just treat you like another human being out of respect.
