You don’t need “tactical training” to know how to use your weapon. He obviously handled the situation well all around. He for sure shot rifles a decent amount. Any amount of shooting and getting to know a weapon is training. His awareness and restraint are the biggest things to take from this. And that’s not just survival instinct. He was cool headed and aware bc he’s had training. He was a cadet at the police academy, not that they do any military/tactical training but it helps.
