I still suspect it was leaked, though, because the evidence of it actually being Russian would have came out and the NSA probably could very easily find the file transfer between ISPs, especially with fucking wikileaks who we know they watched like hawks. Guccifer 2.0 seems quite sketchy.

You can spoof anything on a computer then send it out unless you're using checksums.

Reality Winner (lol) and her own "whistleblower" leak does tell us that the NSA is politicized: from what I was able to determine in that document, the Russians/GRU were simply doing intel gathering rather than trying to backdoor/change votes, because the phishing attempt shows that they throwing things at the wall to see what stuck. They use the words "presumably" very loosely in that doc. Those emails, of course, would be evidence they would be unable to destroy.
