Honestly, I feel like the left is doing the same. They keep pushing and pushing and nothing happens. They have nothing to fear, it's like they've already won. "Don't interrupt your enemies when they're making a mistake" sounds more like mass apathy. "Eh it's not worth risking anything to rock the boat."

They win the long game. In 20-30 years they will own the entire nations hearts and minds, if there even is a nation.

It's more or less over unless the right stands up. Otherwise it's a slow decline. Whatever maybe it wont be all that bad. The robots are going to take over in the next couple generations anyway. Kind of a weird time to be alive if you really think about it.

Sounds fucking weird but it'st he truth, cell phone's will be child's play compared to how tech starts affecting our lives in the coming years. We wont be able to recognize society as change happens at an exponential rate.

Enjoy these years for what they are. Safe and stable. It's kind of the last hurrah for any nation before the technocrats take total control, which is an inevitability. In the next 30 years you'll be able to 3d print most any device, eat any food you want and grow it in a lab, experience anything you want in VR, and machines will do all the hard labor.

But what happens then? What sort of raging violence happens when the means of production are infinite for all? Do we find world peace in a world of plenty? Or is our current climate a sign of the times?

I know it sounds crazy, but think about how far we've come in just 30 years. Shits going to get really weird soon... We worry so much about inane stuff that's going to be trivial in the coming decades. Guns won't matter when people are 3d printing war drones. Race won't matter when people spend 99% of their time in a virtual world as whatever avatar they choose, nor will borders. "I'm not going to partake in that shit" you might think. But you'll ended up like the Amish, cast away and largely removed from steering the course of human history.

Random thoughts, but something to think about...
