Edit: Just to round out the incorrect.

1. Romney voted to convict, so he isn't a factor in preventing the President's removal.
2. Senate committees have no role whatsoever in the impeachment process. If you remember the House convicted and that obligated the Senate to vote.
3. The Senate makeup is currently 53-47, so if you lost those three it would be 50/50 and any SCOTUS judge confirmation vote tie would be broken by Pence.
