If you can find one, I love the effin A compensator. It's tunable to your specific title's recoil.

You shoot it, add a set screw to a hole diametrically opposed to the direction of muzzle flip. Repeat as necessary.

It isn't the best at eliminating rearward recoil - it's good but not the best. but frankly the .223 doesn't really kick much. However it can perfectly counter the muzzle rise when you tune it right. I use a bigger model on a .308 and it's a charm to shoot rapidly.
